The Pacific Spring Showcase Charity Challenge is back. Part of the Pacific Spring Showcase hockey tournament is the Charity Challenge; a friendly and philanthropic battle where teams compete to raise the most money and/or used equipment, which will be donated to those who have not had the privilege to play our great sport. At the Pacific Spring Showcase youth hockey tournament we believe that everybody should have a chance to play hockey as well as a  chance to learn, socialize, play and grow as people.
Last year, the 2005 Jr Steelers Gold was honored with the chance to end their season with Jason Garrison coming out to their practice in support of the team raising the most money and equipment. This season we once again will be having a Vancouver Canucks player attend a team practice. We are looking to surpass last year’s total of almost $20,000. We know we can make this happen if more teams are willing to get involved.
So, let’s impact our community in a positive way. Together, we make a difference and change real kid’s lives through the efforts of your family. Let’s make a positive impact through the game of hockey. All equipment will be collected at both Planet Ice facilities between 10 and 3 on Saturday April 19th. We will have volunteers helping at both facilities recording your teams donations.
We suggest nominating a parent on the team to help lead and organize with this charity effort. We can also help provide the parent with a team charity account as a way to donate and keep track of the funds being raised. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
